FOOD WASTE
Food waste is the phenomenon of the loss of still edible food and the consumption of food. Every year, one third of all food produced is wasted. Especially in rich countries, much of the food that is still good is wasted by consumers. While another huge part of the food is wasted during the food manufacturing process.

Food losses and food waste represent a waste of resources used for production such as energy, water and land. There are numerous possibilities for reducing food waste, solutions and improvements throughout the food production and consumption chain.
